My Kite Journey

I got truly hooked on kiting after flying my dad's 2-meter Flexifoil on a windy day in 2017. It has been a heck of a ride since then. I picked up his old Rev 1 soon after and since then the quad has been my kite of choice on flying fields.

I continued flying and enjoying the various aspects of the sport over the next years. I found myself learning team flying and meeting fellow kite flyers.

In 2022 I made my first kite using the essentials plans by Watty. I needed to replace my standard sail because it wore out and I also needed a vented quad to be able to fly team. This need led to learning how to make my own kites. Since those first two quads, I have continued to make more to fill different needs and to push my kitemaking skills.

The goal behind the creation of Perry Kite Labs is to be able to put a name to creations and to be able to compile my works in one place. In addition to sewing, I also work on 3D modeling parts to make my life easier. This allows me to share them as they are created.
